Tomorrow FC Dallas will play their first road game of the season! Yesterday they boarded the plane to head over to Vancouver to face the Whitecaps! Like Dallas, the Whitecaps have played two games so far this season, unlike Dallas though, they've lost both of those matches.
The Whitecaps began their season at home, where they lost 2-1 against Real Salt Lake. They then traveled to PayPal Park in San Jose, California where they lost to Luchi Gonzalez's (former FC Dallas manger) San Jose Earthquakes where they lost 2-1 once again.
FC Dallas are coming off an exciting 3-1 win against LA Galaxy! After their 1-0 home opener loss to Minnesota United, the Dallas offense came out strong last weekend. Alan Velasco scored the first goal of the season for Dallas, while Jesus Ferreira scored a brace to push them ahead and secure the win. Paul Arriola assisted on two of the goals, while Paxton Pomykal assisted on one.

First Appearance of Jesus Jimenez?
Dallas' new striker Jesus Jimenez has yet to make an appearance for them this season. In the beginning of March, it was mentioned that he was still waiting on his visa. There hasn't been an update (at least that I've seen) on whether he'll be available for tomorrow's match.
Starting Eleven-
It's hard to image Coach Nico Estevez making too many or any changes really to the starting lineup. I expect the same lineup as last week.
Score Prediction-
In 26 total matchups, FC Dallas has won 10, lost 9, and tied 7 times against the Vancouver Whitecaps. This game could go either way for Dallas. The Whitecaps played just a couple of days ago against Real Espana for the Concacaf Champions League. The game was at BC Place, so the Whitecaps didn't have to travel, so while they might be a little tired, they probably won't be as fatigued as Dallas would like them to be. They also won that game 5-0, so they should be pretty confident right now, which could affect Dallas negatively. VANvsESP 03-08-2023 | Vancouver Whitecaps (whitecapsfc.com)
I am going to go with a 2-2 draw. Both teams are coming off of wins. Dallas' record at BC Place isn't great and it's one of their furthest road trips this season. A win feels out of reach. Goals from Alan Velasco and Paul Arriola.
