Atlanta United: Doing the Same Thing Over and Over Again Without a Result.....
Five questions for Atlanta United manager Gonzalo Pineda:
|
2. IN YOUR POST-GAME PRESSER, YOU MENTIONED THE TEAM WAS NOT READY TO COMPETE FROM THE START. 1) HAVE YOU LOST THE LOCKER ROOM, OR 2) DO SOME OF YOUR FAVORED STARTERS NOT HAVE THE ABILITY TO IMPOSE THEIR WILL FROM THE OPENING KICKOFF? |
3. IN YOUR POST-GAME PRESSER, YOU MENTIONED THAT YOU FELT THE TACTICS WERE WRONG. DO YOU AND YOUR STAFF NOT HAVE THE ABILITY TO ADJUST YOUR TACTICS ON DEMAND? WHAT IS THE BARRIER THAT HAS CAUSED YOU AND YOUR STAFF TO GET THE TACTICS WRONG? |
4. LAST WEEK YOU WAITED UNTIL THE 60-MINUTE MARK TO MAKE CHANGES. THIS WEEK, YOU MADE CHANGES AT HALFTIME THAT CAUSED THE GALAXY A GOOD BIT OF PROBLEMS. AT THIS POINT IN THE SEASON, WHY NOT START THE GAME WITH THE PLAYERS, WHO OVER THE LAST FEW GAMES, HAVE CHANGED THE DYNAMIC COMING ON AS SUBSTITUTES? |
5. THERE ARE 39 POINTS AVAILABLE FROM THE 13 REMAINING GAMES. WHAT ARE 2-3 THINGS YOU MUST DO OR ADJUST TO GET TO THE 7TH PLACE PLAYOFF LINE? |
There are many other questions that should be asked of Gonzalo Pineda. Time will tell, starting with Saturday night's match with Chicago, if Pineda has any answers. I hope so.
