FC Dallas lost to Minnesota United tonight in their home opener. Mender Garcia scored the lone goal in the 48th minute. Despite the defeat, there were some positives for Dallas. Maarten Paes had some great saves during the game. He was able to keep Dallas in the game. El Matador sounded great in the first half, and it'll be exciting to see how they improve the atmosphere as the season goes on. FC Dallas Falls to Minnesota United FC | FC Dallas
Unfortunately, it's now time to talk about the bad. The offense was terrible. Alan Velasco had some good opportunities to score but his hesitation cost him. There was a moment where he took an extra touch, instead of shooting, and the space closed down.
There isn't much to say. Dallas' offense needs to get better. They have great players for the offense like Jesus Ferreira, Paul Arriola, and Alan Velasco, they just don't look like they're ready for the season right now. According to Steve Davis on Twitter, Dallas' new striker Jesus Jimenez was unable to play tonight due some visa issues. Hopefully he'll be able to suit up and will help the offense get started.
