FC Dallas announced yesterday that they signed Sebastien Ibeagha. He will be under contract with Dallas for two years guaranteed, Dallas will also have an option for 2025 and 2026. (FC Dallas Signs Defender Sebastien Ibeagha | FC Dallas)
Ibeagha is a center back and is joining from recent Major League Soccer champions Los Angeles FC. He played 1183 minutes for LA in 17 games. He was a part of two cleansheets. (Sebastien Ibeagha | MLSsoccer.com)
Dallas signed Ibeagha as a free-agent. Prior to playing for LAFC, he played for New York City FC for three years. He'll turn 31 before the 2023 season starts. He should be a great veteran presence in the backline. Dallas still hasn't resigned Matt Hedges. Should Hedges not join Dallas next season, Ibeagha will be able to provide the veteran presence that Dallas will need if they want to win the MLS Cup next season.
