Now for FC Dallas' departures. Dallas did not pick up options for the following seven players: Lucas Bartlett, Eddie Munjoma, Kalil ElMedkhar, Nicky Hernandez, Thomas Roberts, Beni Redzic, and Matt Hedges. They had two players on loan with an option to buy but decided against it, Nanu and Joshue Quinonez. (https://www.fcdallas.com/news/fc-dallas-announces-roster-decisions-for-2023-season)
Dallas mentioned in their report that they are trying to sign Hedges to a new contract. The defender has spent his whole career with Dallas, who drafted him in 2012. Out of all of the players leaving Frisco, Hedges would be the most devastating one. He was still a strong defensive presence last season.
